It forms a clear solution at 8 mg/ml in 50 mM HEPES buffer, pH 7.0, containing 5 mM EDTA and 16 mg/ml sodium deoxycholate. It is also soluble in a 3: 2: 1 mixture of chloroform, methanol, and water at 10 mg/ml. In phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, it forms an opaque suspension at 1 mg/ml. Aqueous solutions remain active for less than 24 hours.
