General description

Asarones are toxic morphogenetic agents. It is also known for its chemosterlant and oviposition stimulant properties. Naturally it can be extracted from Acorus calamus. -Asarone is considered as growth inhibitor. This isomer acts as antifeedant with less toxicity.[1]
